Teen Read Week, October 12-18

Did you know that it's Teen Read Week from October 12-18?

The American Library Association's Young Adults Library Services Association (YALSA) celebrates teen readers and the books published for young adults every year. Readers aged twelve to eighteen can vote right here, online, anytime during October 12-18.

These are the nominated titles:

Sadly, I am almost 21, so I cannot vote. I absolutely love YA lit & have read many of these books.

My favorites are:
Betrayed
City of Bones
Eclipse
Extras
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Ironside: A Modern Faery’s Tale
The Sweet Far Thing
Wicked Lovely

But I think the best book is Unwind by Neil Shusterman.
It's an amazing view on what
the future may hold.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
is a very close second.

I too am a bit out of the age range to vote, but I adore YA books and have also read many books on this list.

My favs In this order.
Eclipse
City of Bones
Wicked Lovely
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Ironside
Betrayed

My all time favorite, although not on this list is Twilight, for it is the book that got me interested in YA lit and it is just amazing.

Right now, The Hunger Games and The Graveyard Book have gotten me ensnared because they are such gems, once I picked them up I could not put them down.
