Kirkus Review just came out with a list of kickass, tough teen heroines. Have read most of them and they are great. Am putting those I haven't read right at the top of my reading pile. Which did you like the best? And I can't wait for Misfit (thoroughly enjoyed Struts and Frets and this looks great!)

Isn't this kind of expected though? I mean YA is awash in a tsunami of dystopian. Given the horrible nature of a dystopian world, if you aren't super badass then you end up dead, right? And who would read a book that was only two chapters long cause the heroine was weak and died?
Ah, good point, but the weak don't always die. Some heroines fight for themselves, some look to their man to fight for them. Some heroines stand strong in the face of oppression, some are a beacon of hope, and others fall apart when their man leaves them. Some own their mistakes and try to rectify the situation, some wait for others to do it for them.
